Brand Illusionist, Patrick Yam has been working in the
advertising and marketing industry for the last 20 years.

Graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Arts in Design in 1990, Patrick began his career at Calder Design, a local Perth design studio working on a variety of brands like BP, EMI Music, Everdure, Riverstone Builders and Toyota.

After 6 years as a senior designer and then an associate director, Patrick moved to South East Asia in 1996 where he spent the next 9 years working as a senior art director with Tequila Singapore, a London-based marketing firm. Clients included Apple, Chivas Regal, DBS Bank, Palm, Philips, Standard Chartered Bank, Visa, Virgin and Sony.

Advertising and marketing campaigns included press and TV, direct mail and both online and offline strategies which earned him several regional and international awards.

In 2005, Patrick returned to Perth and joined TMP Worldwide as a senior art director.

Here, recruitment advertising and strategy was the focus, communication through
press, radio and online campaigns.

Now known as The Brand Illusionist, Patrick offers a variety of
creative solutions which include branding, web and print design,
packaging, marketing and advertising.
